This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is starting her new job tomorrow
she is worried because she will be about 40 minutes away.
Daughter number 2,  the one that shields her heart with her sleeve
will be home with Bob until the end of the month, when she returns to college.
Bob and "Al" however do not like taking guidance
from daughter number 2, and he has begun to express that to her.
Anger has not been an emotion that  Bob as expressed on a regular
basis, so this a change in behavior for him.
Daughter number 2 does not do well with his reaction to her
She is hurt by his anger, and guards her heart, by reacting in turn
with anger....

Psalm 145: 8-9

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
