This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is frustrated
She had to take Bob to a government
office to day to handle some paperwork
Sheri took the lead in explaining the situation that needed handling
However the woman behind the counter
actually yelled at him when he took to long to respond
"Al's" natural behavior when yelled at... is to get nervous
and not be able to speak
which is exactly what happen...
She kept asking the question in a loud, aggressive voice and he got confused
Sheri stepped in again but this was really unacceptable
Sheri has stayed angry most of the afternoon.
