This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

  1. Sheri, I know just how you feel. My dh was diagnosed in 2007 when he was 62 and he just turned 65. It is a day to day disease. He is being taken away day by day. I just quit working to be at home with him. This is a lonely and devastating way to live. I hate that he knows what is happening and I can't stop it or make it better. I love your humor and Bible verses. Please know there are others with you and know what your life is like.
