This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

The last few days have been hard on Bob
All the snow clean up that "Al"
did with the leaf blower
has taken a toll on Bob's shoulder and neck
but worse than that is Bob's sudden
memory that his father died on Christmas Eve many years ago
And unfortunately that is a true and painful memory
that Sheri actually wishes that "Al" had stolen from him...
Funny what we wish for sometimes...

"For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands" 2 Corinthians 5:1
