This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is wondering
what new and exciting things
she will find when she gets home from work today
Yesterday Bob and Al worked on
covering the window air conditioners
However, instead of covering just the ac as they have done in the past
He covered the entire window with a wooden board!
When Sheri asked why they did that
"Al" showed Sheri the back of board
which was marked with Bob's handwriting
"East kitchen window"
So "Al" covered the east kitchen window
Sheri know that this disease affects judgment
but Bob was Mr. Fixit, managed a hardware store
he has covered these ac's for 15 years
It is gonna be long dark winter..
In more ways than one...
