This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri can't believe it just happened again
They were in the kitchen and "Al"
is opening the cupboard in the kitchen where they keep the glasses
She says "Bob you have a glass out already"
"Al says "I am looking for the bagels"
"Oh" Sheri says. "Al" says "I guess I will have to open every cupboard"
Sheri says "Well, where do we usually keep the bagels?"
Bob looks around the room first at the microwave, then the
garbage can then....points to the basket on top of the fridge
Up there?
"Yep...that is where we keep the bagels"
Sheri thinks she needs a new sign....
