Sheri is sad
This weekend she saw just how much
"Al" has taken over
She has taken to making cards from her garden photo's
She asked Bob to make a simple crate style box
4 inches by 6 inches. from Balsa Wood.
Bob was the "go to guy" at the hardware store for
the last career of his life.(She is just trying to get him involved)
After four or five hours Sheri had to draw the pieces
on paper for him... and then put the papers together because he could not
get a vision of what she was talking about.
she wound up giving him one piece of paper at time to just "cut out this"
"now cut out this".
Sheri is sad... as she looks back "Al" was moving in such a long time ago
She just did not know.
Sheri can remember seeing him stare at a project and re- measuring over and over again
Sheri had no idea....
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
