This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob and "Al" went rounds again
yes the newspaper man
Sheri just can't win...

The paper man called to see if all was well
But Bob and "Al" had an earful to tell

Bob had said to Sheri just the Sunday before
The newspapers all wet again, we should not get it anymore

So when the man called,  Bob told the man of his woes
so Bob was vindicated "I told HIM"  he said.

And then "Al" said "Oh and guess what...
now we are going to get all these papers for free"
Sheri said "What?"

"Bob" Sheri said "We get one paper a week,
and we throw it away,
We were going to cancel and save the few dollars a week"

Then Bob looked at Sheri
as if acknowledging their good luck
"But they are free "Al said
Or were they ten bucks?"

Maybe Sheri needs to disconnect the phone....   :)
