This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob is having surgery today
They are going to hopefully repair his knee
Sheri has asked that they try not to put
him under general anesthetic and just use a block
Because "Al" went kinda crazy the last time he had surgery.
Bob stayed gone a long time...
Of course Bob has to be able to draw his knees up to his chest
for a spinal block, Sheri is not quite sure he can do that...
Although when the doctor asked,
"Al "said he thought he could do it.
We will have to see what Bob has to say about it today.
