This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob, Al and Sheri were working outside today.
Oh my, "They" were trying to fix a hose that had seen better days.
Bob would put down one part and by the time he walked to the garage
and put down the second part,
He had no idea what he was trying to do
and had to start over again...and over again...and again
Sheri was not sure if she should laugh or cry.
No wonder it would take him
so long to do things
It was like watching the old "Who's on first" comedy
Well it was until Sheri yelled "Bob just stop a minute"
"Tell me what you are trying to do and let's start over."
Al said " Tell you what? I'm not trying to do anything."
Sheri is going to the hardware store to get some new hose connectors   :)
