This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is feeling down and out
Had to say good bye to her friend Miss Ann
Ten years old and a heart full of genuine love
Always waiting at home with tail wagging
And smile on her face...
Yes, I said smile on her face.....
She just had a look that said I love you.. I love you
Regardless of how crabby you are from work..
Regardless of how late you feed me or walk me..
Regardless of how you forget to clip my nails..
I love you....
Maybe that is how God's love is...

She had one of those goofy looking dog faces..you know the ones
Big sad eyes, a face only a mother can love....the ever nudging nose saying "pet me, pet me"
Still thought she was a lap dog...no one ever told her different
Black Lab, St. Bernard mix...70-80 lbs but she thought she belonged on your lap..

I love you Miss Ann.......
