Bob and Al had a battle with the vacuum cleaner ..again
It was in pieces declared "useless" by the not-so- handymen...
"The motor's fried" Bob said with his lower jaw clenched tight
"The brush won't turn, I am sure I am right"
Sheri said "Bob..." can you put it back together?"
Al said "it doesn't work!" "But I will do it ...however"
Bob said "I will bet you a grand that I'm right!"
"your on" Sheri said (she loves a good fight)
So Bob and Al put only the belt back on first
Sheri flipped the switch and guess what, the vac worked...
Bob stood there with a surprised look on his face
"We've done this before" (ah.. a memory... well "trace")
So Sheri reminded them ...(with a hidden grin)
The handle must be down for the brush to spin.
Al's face said " I surrender the vacuum has won"
Bob said "now if I could only get the dishwasher to run..." :)
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
