This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Part of Sheri is wondering
what happened to the magic of the season
You know, that tingling feeling
When "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire" plays
The excitment to see the sparkle of the lights
The exhilaration of the first few snow flakes
Gently landing on your tongue
When the girls would fight over
who would get the first night of the Advent Calendar
and when decorating the house was not a chore
and when there was still some hope that some mystical man
would bring gifts and her hearts dreams would be real.....
And when she thought Bob was just not paying attention......

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)
