This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sometimes life takes twists and turns we surely never expcect
Sometimes we have to wait when waiting seems impossible
Sometimes all we can do is hold on to each other
Sometimes we have to to use ever ounce
of knowledge we have of past experiences
and bring them into the here and now
Sometimes we have to hold our emotions in so tight
that we can't breathe
sometimes we have to sit and watch a love one suffer
Sometimes we watch them fight for their live's
And sometimes we have have to surrender the fight
to something greater than ourselves.....

Exodus14:14
The Lord will fight for you:  You need only to be still.
