This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

The holidays are approaching fast
Sheri is determined to make memories
So that her family will still have a past
She will take one day a time and not dwell
On being in the middle of this mess
She won't focus on the trials of today,
But she will  focus on the small simple things
The joy her children bring, the crisp fall air
The blessings of life
Sheri will figure out a way to make good memories
She will just have to plan one day at a time
And she will just have to include Al in the plan.
