This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri has been searching for a part of her herself she felt was lost. The part where the Holy Spirit holds her, leads her, comforts her and gives her the strength to be brave and courageous in the short life given to us. She knows the Holy Spirit was with her guiding the time she spent caring for Bob and "Al" but some how she forgot to follow the prompting to care for herself. Today is a new day by the grace of God.
Sheri will pause, praise and pray.

  1. I've just found your blog and am blessed by your transparency and faith through your journey. My Mom cares for my Dad, diagnosed in recent years, as well as helps with her mom who's had Alz's quite a few years. Your "pause, praise, pray" is something I plan to share with her. Thank you, Sheri & may God encourage & bless you richly.
