This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri thought maybe if she stopped posting, she could get a break from thinking about this wretched disease... nope.

  1. This may sound insensitive which it is not meant to be. Bob/Al has been sick for a long time. He/they have been in good hands for awhile. Give yourself a dang break. Have you considered dating to switch things up a bit? Meetups.com is a good way to meet all kinds of people. I am trying to find my fit, but you may want to check this site out. Not necessarily dating but I am sure Bob/Al would be happy that you did that at this point.
