This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is still struggling to find herself, she knows it will take time. She took Sir Cooper to the park last evening. Every few minutes she would get stopped by a couple walking together, some young some old. They wanted to know if they could pet Cooper. They would smile and laugh with each other as the wife would beg hubby to get a "Cooper" in their life.
 Sheri's heart hurts.

  2. Praying for you, Sheri. I cannot claim to know exactly how you feel but as a never-married single woman, I have experienced hurt too when life seems to be full of couples around me and it seems that I am the only one walking this journey alone. I pray for heavenly strength and joy as you go through this difficult transition. Hugs.
