This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is trying so hard to get accustom to seeing Bob and "Al" in their new environment. They have reached the point where "they" seem to be calm and comfortable. Sheri is wondering now if maybe all the back and forth to the bus, to the Day Center, to home and running errands was actually making it harder on the "boys" then she realized. She shares this not to add more guilt to her weary mind but for those who might be right where she was two weeks ago on this journey. As for Sheri... she needs to Pause, Praise and Pray.
