This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri has been suffering with depression and anxiety for several years, and now this major life transition, Sheri's doctor thought a companion dog might help her feeling of overwhelming loneliness and despair, something to "care for". She just went to "look" and came home with "Lord Cooper". He will make a great therapy dog for the residents at the care faculty, and for Sheri. Oh he makes Sheri's heart smile. :)

    Congrats on Sir Cooper! I have a Mini Cooper! He is a mini dachshund! They are great company and for me a warm body to hug! Of course I have his sidekick Harley another mini dachshund. They are tons of fun. As a caregiver to my husband I trained Harley to take him his granola bars, etc. My husband loves it! Anyway congrats on your new friend. Hugs!
