This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

"Al" has spent the last 45 minutes trying to get his watch correctly placed over his sleeve this morning. (and he is still at it as she writes this) Sheri feels terrible because she has not dressed Bob yet and she does not think she should take Bob to church in his pajamas. :)

  1. Yes, I remember the "watch" episode with my HB. He wore 2 watches on one arm, one below the elbow and one above it. I never took him to church in pj's, but I did take him to the barber in them. No one even said a word about it. That was nice of them.
