This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri bought Bob a new vibrating pillow for his back for Christmas. Bob thinks it is terrific and wants everyone to try it over and and over again. As they left for work yesterday, "Al" was behind Sheri . As they were walking out the door Daughter Number One says "Oh. he is taking that with him?" Sheri turns around to see 6'4 "Al" in his coat and mittens with the pillow tucked under his arm. Bob was frustrated and mad when Sheri said he needed to leave the pillow at home. "Al" was actually pouting through his jaw clenched tight as he explained he wanted to show it to the guys at work.  :)
