This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

As Sheri was running errands yesterday, Bob began his new rambling type conversation. "Al" pointed out the window at every bridge, retainer wall and fence and proudly declared he had built them all. Sheri chuckled as she thought to herself  "well no wonder Bob's back hurts."  :)

  1. This makes me smile, as my Mum shows me all the things her Dad is doing (he's been dead for 38 years) He's building a supermarket down the road, he built the bridges over the streams we walk past, and best of all, he even put the moon in the sky one day!!!
