This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is struggling. She knows she needs to get back out and look for facilites for Bob and "Al", waiting list can be long. She always has an excuse. They are real excuses but an excuse none the less.

  1. This "phase" has to be difficult, knowing a transition needs to take place. I too work and for now my husband can stay at home. I don't think he'll ever be receptive to an adult day care and I hope I can also use the work idea. Stay strong and taking it a day at a time. You give me courage for what's ahead.
