This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"
"Al" has apparently been to Ireland... several times, while Sheri and Bob have never had a honeymoon or a " just decided to go someplace together" vacation. Don't miss understand Sheri had always been okay with that, but for some reason now, as "Al" points out all the wonderful places "he" has been, she has grown a wee bit jealous of "Al's" adventures :)

Wow. I knew Alzheimers patients lost their memories, but I didn't know they could come up with totally new false ones that don't involve suspicions! That's pretty interesting. What a pleasant thing for him to believe :)
