This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

There was a new intern ( for real) at Bob's "work" (code for Adult Day Center), "Al" shook his hand when Sheri picked him up the other day, and "Al" told him " if you have any questions feel free to come to me, and I will help you. "   :)
Sooo darn cute.

  1. :) My mother frequently asks me (as I'm leaving) "Do you need anything?" I act as though I'm thinking, and then say, "I don't thinks so, Mother." Then she says, "Well, you let me know if you DO!" I very sincerely assure her that I will!

    Bless their hearts!
