This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

The Olympics are fun to watch, in fact "Al" is building the sports life Bob never had all in one week. So far "Al" has done the bobsled, the ski jump and of course a Minnesota must, played ice hockey. Bob was a band geek, that was as athletic as he ever got,  not that band doesn't count of course. :)

  1. Ummm, I know things are hard...but, this sounds so much better then it could be! In fact, somewhat entertaining. My friend always says about some of my own stuff- " if you were watching it in a movie it would be funny".
Please tell us more what all you continue to do for yourself!
Thanks, i read three times a week.
