This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri walked toward Bob with open arms encouraging a much needed hug, "Al" moved out of the way.

  1. So sorry. I will give you a hug. My day isn't the greatest either.

    1. Once I got over being mad the day ended nicely. I hope you had a good day too. Alzheimer's and the the destroyed brain of our love ones just make me mad.

  4. I appreciate your references to Al and Bob. It recognizes the disease that is causing the behavior in a clever manner while illustrating the Bob that you love is not responsible for the hurt and pain you are feeling. Sally
