Sheri writes this blog in hopes that it might give others a glimpse of day to day life with someone with severe memory loss, and cognitive impairment. But by writing this blog she has learned to view others differently as well. Even though she has always considered herself a somewhat compassionate person, she has learned to look deeper into the faces of the people she meets, to look for their shadows. We all have them. Some shadows have visable scars but most do not. Sometimes Sheri will just people watch, and if you watch with your heart open... you will see the trail of shadows following behind them.
