This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri and Bob were watching TV last night and out of no where "Al' says" yeah when I worked at that place where I was evicting somebody they had a really nice picture of the the Last Supper. If it is still there, I was thinking about taking it." Sheri sat kind of baffled by the conversation, Bob tried to clarify, "You know...the picture of Jesus at the table with all those people, I think I might take it... it was really nice." So... Sheri has no idea what he is talking about so she is warning "work" (Code for Adult Day Center) and all friends, please pay your mortgage/rent and keep your pictures firmly affixed to the wall. Sheri would not want "Al" to evict you and take your Last Supper.  :)
