This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sometimes, ( many times, if she were honest) Sheri wishes she could trade in the last 5 or six years of her life in this Alzheimer's world for a different one. The devastation from this disease is without a good description. Then she remembers that God knew the plan for her life long before this happen. That does not mean she understands it... but she does take some comfort in knowing that God has the rest of the "plan" book written, she just needs to open up the bitterness of her heart to the Lord and follow the script.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)
