This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Well she did it, Sheri took the first "I don't really know what I"m doing, but I gotta do this" look at Memory Care facilities, yesterday. The frozen tundra dumped several more inches of snow over night, and continued to dump for most of the day. Sheri is still trying to process the experience. :( Having a dear friend from church was so very helpful. But so much wrong or maybe just misleading, information in the booklet of senior places to look at that she had been given... very frustrating. Sheri needs to ponder it all. Of course praying wouldn't hurt either.
