This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

"Meeko" the cat was sleeping peacefully by Sheri, last night, until "Al" began neighing like a horse in his sleep. Sheri is not sure where that sound comes from, especially when it is followed by "them" whistling "To God be the Glory."    :)

    Shari:
You might be interested in a story from the newspaper near where Bob and I went to high school in PA. It's about a doctor and his wife and her trials with her "AL". The article states that there are nearly 700,000 "Als) in PA. Give Bob a hug for me and Janet, SHS 1965. The article is at:
