This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri and Bob have been out taking pictures on the weekends. The frozen tundra will set in soon and the chance of them getting out and about will reduce drastically when the snow flies. Sheri has been tempted to go by their old house ( the one they lost to foreclosure last year)  because of the wonderful fall view the front windows had, but Sheri knows her heart can not take feeling the sorrow that would still come with the beauty. So in the mean time she continues to learn that she can enjoy Gods beauty without owning it, because after all, she never really owned it anyway now did she?

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above[a] proclaims his handiwork.
Psalm 19:1

  1. I read a saying the other day which struck a chord with me: "Depression is about living in the past. Anxiety is living in the future. Happiness is living in the present." Enjoy today's view :)
