This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

For several days a few weeks ago, the road in front of Bob "work" (code for Adult Day Center) had been torn apart for some type of repair. Yesterday driving to "work" Bob noticed what is really a piece   of art sculpture on a sidewalk in the local downtown area a few blocks down from his "work". The sculpture is of a small house tilted to one side with tree branches sticking through it. "Al" remarks on the house and in his infinite wisdom, declares "wow, I'll bet that happened when the street blew up by work." :)
Gotta love him!
