This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"
Bob's pain level is through the roof. Watching him jerk with pain is heartbreaking. Sitting in one position for to long is not good, but neither is walking around. It is hard to know what to do. Bob's pain level always makes "Al" a little harder to handle. The doctors have said there is really nothing left for them to do about his back, and hospitals are not "Al" friendly so that just does seem to be on option. Sheri did by him a new back brace and knee brace this weekend maybe that will help. :)

Sheri, I hope the brace helped. This must be so hard for you and Bob.

My Dh just got a steroid shot in his hip for pain and it really helped. Do you think that is a possibility?
ReplyDeleteHi Sheri,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog online and just wanted to reach out and let you know about a powerful and intense short film I'm producing about Alzheimer's. The film stars Muse Watson (NCIS, Prison Break) and Mackenzie Mason (Halo 4, Rules of Engagement).
If you find this appealing, please take a look at our fundraising video (http://www.indiegogo.com/shatteredlovemovie3) and let me know if you'd like to get involved in some way. I'm also happy to send you the eleven page script for you to read because I think it's the best way to show what the film is really about.
I look forward to your thoughts.
