This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob got a flyer from "work" (code for Adult Day Center), that they are going on a field trip on Thursday. Bob is sure that his choir is singing a concert at the field trip. The flyer says " we are going to a Pops concert, there will be many people there so please wear a white shirt." Well, Bob always wears a white shirt when they sing at their concerts so he is convinced he will be singing. He is nervous because they have not been practicing either. Sheri often wonders what it must be like "Al's" head. No amount of explaining could change his mind about this event, so there may be some backround singers at the Pop's concert.   :)
Gotta love him.
