This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sometimes something that Sheri's Pastor says on Sunday mornings touches a deep nerve in her heart. Last Sunday he mentioned all the things that we worship that are not God, there were many. One of them was romance. Sheri thinks that is a huge issue for her. Alzheimer's has stolen a lot of things and romance is one of them. Sheri needs to put down those romance novels and stop watching chic flicks altogether. Learning to fill that void and focus her love on God, is an ongoing process... a process she wishes she could do better quickly, so her  jealousy of others would fade.
Proverbs 14:30
A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot
