This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri took Bob and "Al" to the grocery store with her. Sheri gave Bob the task of marking off the items on the list as she put things in the basket. But Bob kept lagging behind. Sheri was confused and frustrated as to what was taking him so long. As it turned out, anything that Sheri put in the basket that was not already on the list... "Al" was attempting to write down, on the list.   :)

  1. There certainly must be faster ways to shop!

  2. Oh dear! If "Al" were shopping with me we would never return. I write the list and end up with 10X that amount. He must have been very detail oriented?
