This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri has been waiting to see what tender shoots pop up in the "not quite her garden", garden in this tiny cozy house she rented. She is trying to remember that she told herself she could find flowers anywhere to tend to. But she know that just a few miles away her "Life through the fence post" garden is starting to bloom. She took a few plants, before leaving there. She hopes God will allow them to be reborn here, at her "not quite her garden", garden. Bob and "Al" mentioned to Sheri that some of the shrubs "here" have never looked better, she wishes that sometimes that she could feel like this was home, "Al" does not seem to know the difference.
