This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is a little sad this morning. Bob and "Al" were in a lot of pain this weekend. Sheri let Bob help her some outside on Saturday. Sheri was so careful to see that he did not do to much, but that little bit of light yard work set his back pain in motion to the point where they could not go to church yesterday. So Sheri downloaded some hymns on to her computer and they sat out on the swing in her new not quite garden, garden.  Sheri was sad to hear that Bob could not remember words to hymns he has sung all his life, not to mention that "Al's voice s is so very different then Bob's.
Sheri hates this disease.
