This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is excited for Spring. She is trying not to think to much about the beautiful garden she left behind and to look at this recent move as a fresh start. The yard at this new cozy little house she rented is flat with no hills so mowing should be easier. Bob and "Al" should still be able to use the blower, at least a little at a time. Her dear friends even helped daughter number one ( the one who wears her heart on her sleeve) bring the old swing, and small piece of the old fence from her "life through  the fence post" garden. Sheri knows some of this is just about the silliness of her heart, but Spring is all about new beginnings... right?   :)
