This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob was a little upset that he was not asked to "supervise" on the field trip at "work" ( code for Adult Day Center) yesterday. Sheri checked the calender and realized the field trip was to the bowling alley for some of the more mobile folks. This time this was a good call, since Bob and "Al" could not get out of bed last week-end because of how bad Bob's back and knees were. He was disappointing because this is the first outing he has missed, but he had about four new "employees" to train in... so it all worked out in the end.    :)
