Sheri let Bob help fill the bird feeders yesterday. The frozen tundra has not been quite as frozen as usual this time of year, however Bob has been concerned about the birds not having enough food ( you know the birds that came with them from the old house :). Bob brought the feeders in and one by one tried to fill them. Most of the them have a simple lift off top but one has a twist top. The twist top had "Al" stumped. Sheri went over and open it nonchalantly for him and he started filling the feeder. Sheri left him for just a few minutes and went to start cooking dinner. When Sheri returned Bob and "Al" had managed to take apart the bird feeder with a screw driver ( Sheri thought she had hidden them well, but apparently not). Bob, who was Mr. Fix It in his previous life before "Al" moved in, could not figure out how to get the lid to stay on. So between the two of them "they" decided the lid needed to be screwed down.
Oh my..... :)
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
