This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri took Bob and "Al" on an outing this weekend. They wound up going to a small German town called New Ulm. Sheri told  Bob that they should find a German restaurant to eat lunch at, since Bob is German and all.  Bob says "well I know how to find one." Sheri says "you do?" Out of nowhere Bob says "yes, you say ein bier macht schnell!" Sheri whacks "Al" on the arm laughing out loud and says "you mean to tell me you can't remember what you said 3 minutes ago, but you can remember that!  :)
