This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al
Sheri went to a social gathering at the Adult Day Center with Bob yesterday. What a wonderful time. They had a band and root beer floats. It was great. Sheri met a few of "Al's" co-workers. She met the boss "Stuart" who "Al" affectionately calls "Stuey", someone Bob talks about all the time. When they did staff introductions, Sheri and Bob were both a little surprised to find out that "Stuey" was actually Mark! When he called himself Mark "Al" leaned over to Sheri shaking his head and said "No... I am pretty sure that is "Stuey". :)
