This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri just needs to spend time in payer this weekend. She and her family have lost 5 family pets over the past year and a half. For one reason or another. The last one last night. An 18 year old cat that was dear to all of their hearts. It is funny how we weave the bench marks of our lives in with the memories of the pets we love. Daughter number one ( the one who wears her heart and sleeve) and daughter number two ( the one that shields her heart with her sleeve) and even her son (the one with the huge heart) have measured life with these family members. This along with the eventual loss of their home and the gradual ,continual loss of their  father  has created a deep painful void with tears overflowing,  way more than Sheri's sleeves can catch.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

  1. Today, I will cry with you. I am so sorry for your loss. 18 years of love is a hard loss, especially with your daily loss. You are being prayed for today.
