This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Daughter number 1 ( the one that wears her heart on her sleeve) has moved back in with Sheri and Bob.
Sheri has 2 cats, and daughter number 1 has 2 cats. Bob has met the new cats, but "Al" is meeting them ...repeatedly. As daughter number 1's cat strolls lazily out if the closet "Al" exclaims "Look at that big cat! Where did it come from?" And then daughter number 1's second cat jump's up on the bed and "Al' says "did you see that? There was a another little cat here a minute ago." "Al" in frustration states, I have no idea where all these cats came from there must be a hole in the house". Or Sheri thought to herself smiling, maybe they are coming up through the pipes of the tub that drains to nowhere...  :)
