This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri and Bob's anniversary back in March, came and went with out notice from "Al", Sheri's birthday was June 7th , that came and went with out recognition either. The 30 yard dumpster came and went, the clutter and tools in the garage came and went, change is coming, the house is going.  Bob's memories of 22 years of marriage come and go,  mixed up with "Al's childhood memories.
Sometimes Sheri wishes she had the ability to let her memories come and go...

    Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday. I pray yours were good even if they might of been forgotten by a few. I don't mention my birthday on purpose just to see who remembers it. Of course mom does not anymore. But the fun part is my son remembering it days later. LOL! He makes up for it. I like that. I am so mean.
