This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al
Sheri is amazed sometimes, at how short, short term memory can be. Bob is emptying the trash, takes the bag out of the container, ties it, sets it on the floor in front of the kitchen sink. Turns around and pushes the can back where it goes. "Al" turns back to the bag and asks Sheri "Is the bag here garbage?" Wow... Sheri keeps imagining how hard it is for Bob to live like this.

I wonder if they realize this. Some doc.'s say an Alz's patient will hide that they have it. I did not realize mom was so bad till we went on vacation. At home she could function almost normal but on vacation she was lost. It was so sad we had to come home early . It is than I started believeing she had Alz's.
